Important Updates about Walt Disney World Resort.

From the Galaxy Vacations team, we would like to share with you some important news that Disney Parks has announced:
As it prepares to reopen the theme parks next month, Disney has communicated that it has adopted a measured and deliberate approach to planning that applies appropriate new health and safety measures. They continue to follow the guidance of government and health officials to responsibly operate the theme parks so they can make the right adjustments to their offerings, including the upcoming fall events.
An element of the fall season in the Walt Disney World Resort is the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. It will be the longest festival to date, giving you plenty of time to enjoy it!
This version of the food festival will debut July 15 and continue through the fall, offering more than 20 unique global markets such as Hawaii, Hops & Barley and Caribbean Islands, scattered throughout the park. And, if you've ever imagined a world of floral fun the Flower & Garden dotted with the global delights of Food & Wine, here's your chance: guests will be able to see the newest topiary, Remy, in the France pavilion and find Flower & Garden products for treasure hunt fans, Remy's Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt returns. And stay tuned as Food & Wine merchandise joins the fun later after the festival begins.
As they evaluate the other special fall event, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, they determined that many of its hallmarks (shows, parades, and fireworks) cannot be realized in this new and unprecedented environment. With that in mind, have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party. In addition, Disney H2O Glow Nightsthe special nightly ticket event at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, will not take place for the remainder of 2020. Guests who have already purchased tickets for these events will receive refund assistance in the coming weeks.
As we look ahead to the holiday season, this may raise questions about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and EPCOT International Festival of the Hollidays which includes the Candlelight Processional. They are closely monitoring the circumstance and will make a decision on these events as they continue to learn more from government and health officials. As always, the goal is to explore all options and look at ways to still host magic-filled events and festivals at Disney, while continuing to operate responsibly with the health and safety of all our guests and cast members in mind.

There is also news about the new Disney Park Pass Reservation System, officially we know that park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability may change until the reservation is finalized. At this time, guests will be able to select one park per day; visiting more than one park per day will be temporarily unavailable after the theme parks reopen due to attendance limitations. Guests with existing tickets that include the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option have options available for ticket modifications and cancellations.
- What about Magic Bands?
In addition to the new reservation system, Walt Disney World announced that: As you begin to plan your upcoming visits, we are also exploring exciting ways for guests to use their mobile technology to experience the magic, especially as the use of phones and apps continues to evolve. In 2021, we plan to introduce an innovative new offering as part of the My Disney Experience app that will bring features of a MagicBand to your smart devices, building on the app's existing digital key feature.
With this new offer on the horizon, we will retire our free MagicBand distribution to Disney Resort hotel guests for new bookings with arrivals on or after January 1, 2021.
